In 2021 the UK Government announced changes to the requirements of The Building Regulations 2010. The requirements are enforced by Building Control Bodies primarily using guidance found in the Approved Documents (ADs).

The changes fall into two areas and will be enforced from 15 June 2022:

  1. Approved Document F, L, O - related to energy efficiency standards including a new AD for overheating.
  2. Approved Document S - providing new technical guidance regarding the installation of electric vehicle charging points.

To help industry prepare for these changes LABC is holding a conference on 30 March in Birmingham
