With LABC’s SR21 Trainee Building Control Surveyors and the huge uptake in our education programmes at Levels 4 and 5, LABC is pleased to be launching a NEW Emerging Talent Annual Conference.
The 2023 event will take place on 4 and 5 September in Milton Keynes.
This conference will be specifically for new entrants into the profession (joined in the last 5 years) and provide the opportunity for Trainees to network and learn from industry experts at a level appropriate to them.
The event will follow a similar format to the main member conference (2-day residential conference with gala dinner).
We aim to have several exhibitors attend the event to enhance the learning opportunities for Trainees.
Recognising the fantastic trainees and emerging talent within our network is a priority for LABC. During this conference we hope to launch initiatives to get trainees involved in our national working groups, embed public service ethos into them and promote the fantastic career opportunities within local authority building control.

CPD: This course counts for 3 hours CPD.
Cost: Days 1 & 2 cost £80.00+VAT per day. You will need to book each part separately using the links at the bottom of this page.

Day Two Course Content:
- Brief recap on the loading and structural analysis from Day 1
- Design of simply supported steel beams including worked example and practice session
